First and Last Days

Even since I started my new job nearly a year ago, I miss the old days when I could just grab my camera, wander around and take random photos during lunch.

Almost a year into this new job, nearly half the people have left now. After an explosive email today, I feel maybe my days are numbered.

I took this very photo in the last days of my old job.

The Distillery / Corktown district has a few old brick warehouses, due to its historical proximity to the Lake Ontario docks and its industrial brewing past with the Gooderham family.

Living up to its name, street artist, Elicser Elliot has painted a mural of different wizards at the corner of The Magic Building, with a witch sculpture at the entrance.

To me, the real magic are the autumn colors on the wall.
