Lawrence Park Manor (1926)

Green is a rather brave color to be used on a building.

The olive green, with those climbing vines, and brown brick inlays around small paned windows in this neo-Tudor style apartment is rather charming.

Not heritage protected, the owner could have just let the building fall into disarray and ultimately apply for redevelopment.

At the end of the day, an old 4 storey walk-up with very few large units per floor is rather inefficient use of land in central Toronto.

In fact, quite the opposite has happened, it seems this 100-year-old building has been loved, cherished and looks amazing for its age.

Located on the busiest street in Toronto, Yonge Street, the long open corridor helps let in natural breeze and minimize traffic noise when residents enter this century old apartment via the grand wooden doors.

2687 Yonge Street, best viewed from Glenview Ave.
